  2.      Audio output from FT790R receiver's discriminator for 9600 bauds

  5. Here is a very simple way of taking audio direct from the discriminator.
  6. Connect a flying lead to pin 9 QO8 (MC3357P). (To save you having to burrow,
  7. just solder a lead on the IC pin itself).
  8. Drill a ," hole in the case between the standby and speaker sockets. Insert
  9. a phono socket here and connect the flying lead and a suitable ground.
  10. Thats it, job done.

  15. Here is how to input 9600 bauds into the 790's varactor circuitry.

  17. First construct the following circuit.

  30. When you make up the above circuit, you must use very short leads!
